About the Project
"In Their Shoes" is an interactive video demo that serves as a foundation for a more comprehensive VR experience designed to simulate the challenges of individuals with autism. The interactive nature of the application allows users to navigate various scenarios that highlight common challenges faced by those on the autism spectrum. By experiencing sensory overload, communication difficulties, and social interactions through a VR lens, users can gain a better understanding of what it feels like to live with autism. First, there is an informational section designed for people who may not be familiar with the details of autism. Then, users can explore interactive video scenarios that allow them to better understand autism through empathy, by experiencing the everyday challenges faced by autistic individuals. The project also includes a section highlighting famous and important people with autism, showing that autism is not a barrier to success. Finally, a mini-quiz allows users to evaluate their understanding and reflect on what they’ve learned.

Purpose of the Project
“In Their Shoes” aims to help people see the world through the eyes of someone with autism and understand their experiences, thereby building a kinder, more inclusive society that better supports everyone, regardless of their differences.

Technichs of the Project
This project was created using AI video tools and the interactive platform Genially. It combines both interactive videos and informational content to help people learn more about autism. The project includes game-like features to motivate users to engage with the content.

Future
This demo is just the beginning. The goal is to expand it into a full VR experience that will offer even more detailed and realistic ways for people to learn and connect with the experiences of those on the autism spectrum. By doing this, we hope to help create a society that is more understanding and supportive of people with autism. The project also focuses on making information accessible to everyone. By starting with an interactive video, we ensure that more people can engage with the content, even if they don’t have access to VR technology. In the future, the VR version will offer an even richer learning experience.
